Hope everyone is doing well and able to get out and about with all this lovely weather.  Doesn’t seem like January, but the month isn’t over yet so I’m not holding my breath.  It is also a good month to get out the quilts that need finished, or to start new ones.  We hope the folks that are shut in are doing well.  It is good that we have such good phone systems that we can call and have great chats. And even if we can’t visit inside, I know there have been visits in garages and outside – especially when we had such lovely sunny days.

Belated congratulations to Marjorie Armstrong who celebrated her 94th birthday in the last little while.  Also celebrating birthdays were Fran and Jim Farrell, Joseph Finnie, Clayton Farrell, Marianne Irwin and Ron deGans.

Congratulations to Julianne and Andrew House on the birth of Greyson George House on January 8th.  Another grandson for Diane and Arnold Clifford.

Our sympathy is sent to Christine and Jim Roberts and family of Point Clark on the passing of her father  John Andrew Madill of Port Dover.

Congatulations to Phil Van Hardeveld who is the Chief Building Official for the South Bruce Municipality.

The Ripley Agricultural Society AGM will be Tuesday January 19th at 7 pm via Zoom.  Review of last year’s activities, revision of by-laws, and election and installation of  board directors for 2021 year will be on the agenda.  All interested parties are invited to send an email to ripleyfair@hurontel.on.ca for documents for the meetings and receive the link to participate.
