Four representatives of the realtor community joined campaign co-chair Martin Ritsma at the United Way of Perth Huron thermometer in Stratford to celebrate the campaign reaching 50 per cent of its goal.
“It’s an incredible milestone,” said campaign co-chair Martin Ritsma.
“This light bulb represents the loyalty, generosity and community spirit of so many donors. Whether it’s individuals deciding to give the same or a little more than they did last year to the campaign, or annual workplace campaigns going ahead despite the challenges some have faced during the pandemic, the people of Perth-Huron are showing how committed they are to helping vulnerable and newly vulnerable people during challenging times.”
Realtors Care Week, which took place Nov. 23-27, is an annual national week of volunteer service for realtors and a time to raise awareness about important housing and shelter-related issues. During the week, a group of Perth-Huron realtors raised $6,675 for the United Way.
