Huron Perth Public Health has received questions and comments in regards to large organized events planned.
As Stage 3 re-openings continue throughout Ontario, Public Health says it does not approve nor deny the holding of large organized events. The agency’s role is to ensure the guidance and protocols, as defined in the province’s reopening framework, are strictly adhered to at all stages of re-opening.
“The provincial government has set out requirements and rules for areas in Stage 3 under O. Reg. 363/20 – Rules for Areas in Stage 3 under Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19),” said medical officer of health Dr. Miriam Klassen.
Every stage of Ontario’s re-opening has been developed with purposeful guidance and protocols to ensure citizens’ health and safety remains the number one priority, she said.
Since the start of the pandemic, factors associated with the re-opening across Ontario have been carefully assessed. In consultation with Klassen and other health experts, the government has made decisions related to application of public health measures.
