Author Don Edward Cook, who hails from Bornholm, says the harsh lessons he learned the first time around made his quest for a second book all that much sweeter.
So much so, now that he’s completed it, he’s got ideas for more to follow.
The London resident has a new self-published book titled “Ithyanna, Last Daughter of Atlantis,” a science fiction/fantasy story with biblical undertones that’s patterned after today’s world. His first foray into self-publishing he admits he failed to market properly and the book itself fell victim to bad editing. He said he realizes now the mistakes he made on “The Invader Candidate” and although hurt by the negative reviews, wasn’t totally turned off – mainly because he has a wild imagination and therefore a story to tell.
“I’m thankful that that book failed, actually, because it was the one where I learned all my mistakes,” he said in a recent telephone interview.
